What is the tuition at RHCA?

The one time admission application fee is $150. No other fees for field trips or other regular school activities will be incurred during the year. Tuition can be paid in full or in 10 equal installments, August-May.
Are scholarships or discounts available?
Families who demonstrate financial need through an application with our tuition management partner TADS (www.tads.com) are eligible for a student scholarship. There is also a separate scholarship application that can be completed for extenuating circumstances.
What is the school calendar?
We will follow a traditional school year calendar and have holidays scheduled for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. Visit the school website for a full overview of the calendar.
What do students wear?
Students wear the prescribed uniform items that can be purchased in person or online from our clothing partner – Academic Outfitters. The full uniform guidelines are in the Student-Parent Handbook, the school website and at www.southtexas.academicoutfitters.com.
Does RHCA serve lunch?
No. Students bring their lunches from home each day.
Are there opportunities for parents to volunteer?
Yes. Parent time contributions to the school are very important and necessary for a strong school. Parents are required to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per family or agree to pay a $200 volunteer waiver fee.
Who are RHCA’s teachers?
RHCA teachers are committed Christians who have bachelor’s degrees at a minimum and who are qualified by either formal study in education or in their academic fields.
What are the plans for future grade levels?
For the 2019-2020 school year, 6th grade is being added. The vision of the school is to expand at least one grade each year through grade 12.
What are the school’s hours?
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; morning drop off begins at 7:30 a.m.
Do you have before or after-school care available?
Parents may drop their students off in the morning up to 30 minutes before school begins. After school care will be available until 6:00 p.m. on regular school days. Fees for this service are set based on the number of students that enroll in the program.
How many students will be in each class?
We have established an ideal class size of 12 students in the 3-year-old class, 14 students in PreK and 16 students in all other grammar school grade levels.
Is RHCA accredited?
Not at this point. We will determine the best TEA recognized accrediting body for our needs within the first three years of operation and apply for accreditation at that time.
