A CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SERVING NORTHWEST CORPUS CHRISTI AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES
Classical, Christian schooling at River Hills emphasizes phonics-based reading instruction, a thinking approach to learning math, and early exposure to fine literature, world history, and the grand story of the Bible. In short, the curriculum will introduce even our youngest students to the richness of Western civilization and the many contributions that Christian people have made to our history and way of life.
Stories and testimonials from our River Hills Christian Academy Parents, Students and Faculty.
My child has learned so much this school year, academically as well as spiritually. The staff has a wealth of knowledge & genuinely care about the students. RHCA has made an enormous impact on not only my child's faith but on mine as well. We are so grateful that the Lord led us to the decision of enrolling our child in RHCA.
Teaching classical, Christian education at River Hills Christian Academy has been a wonderful experience! God comes first and we begin each day talking to God through prayer. Every lesson is designed to see how God’s hand is at work in all of it. Whether literature, poetry, math or science, we can reinforce how God planned everything. The beauty of His creation in the world and in us, counting stripes on a zebra, patterns on butterflies or recognizing colors in a sunset; it was all made for us by Him. Devotion time is spent reading stories about Jesus, singing praises to Him and memorizing scripture that ties into all of our lessons. The children are able to spend time talking about God and how we can show love and kindness to other students and take those lessons home to extend to their friends and family. One action I see coming from the students is the ability to use words to work through difficult situations. It is great to see a Pre K student think about their actions, apologize and feel the comfort of being forgiven by classmates. Compliments from student to student are also wonderful to see. River Hills Christian Academy is a wonderful environment for all children to recognize God’s love for them.
